How it all started
Vel Spa was established in February 2017 by a family of Spa enthusiasts in Marikina.
Inspired by their personal experience as avid customers here and abroad, Max Velasco’s family came up with an idea to create their own brand
of a soothing massage service, capturing elements they wish were given more attention to by existing Spa businesses in the Philippines.
Particularly, they wanted this brand to highlight our very own traditional practices, in the form of Hilot. They wanted to make use of techniques relevant to Filipinos,
further promoting our identity and pride, through proven and effective wellness solutions.
Vel Spa’s ultimate dream is for Pinoy Hilot to have a stronger
presence than ever before, and be the best brand in the field, as it fills a gap in our local spa market currently dominated by Thai or other Asian
and Western-influenced massage offerings.
